A non-trivial zero is a zero of the analytically continued Riemann zeta function that is not one of its negative-even-integer trivial zeros.

These zeros lie in the critical strip. The Riemann Hypothesis says that every one of them lies exactly on the critical line Re⁡(s)=1/2\operatorname{Re}(s)=1/2.
